There's one thing bothering me for a long time.

Is it possible to unify the appearance of the red close button displayed in the plugin/VST window in Soundop as a close button with the color of the window title which is the background color, such as Soundop's own main window or VST Manager window or Preferences window?

I'm always worried about the display of the red close button, which does not have enough right margin. Of course, this red close button is in line with the standard Windows 10/11 theme, so I can see it in many other applications.

A long time ago, I used to use Stardock's "WindowBlinds" for window appearance modification, but I don't know if I can still change the design of the red close button in the Soundop's plugin/VST window.

How do you all feel? Or have you never cared about it before?
I would appreciate developer consideration.

Hello, I am having some issues, after selecting an audio region and enabling “Use current selection for processing”, the processor returns an empty file or only processes a small portion. I find that if I run another processor first, then undo and run the original processor again, it works fine — as if there is an internal cache error.

Also, I am having a lot of issues with VST3 plugins, especially FabFilter Pro-Q 3. An EQ band does not work even though it is enabled.

Some presets are stuck or the plugin does not respond properly after reopening the project.

I have not found a way to reproduce the bug consistently, but these bugs happen frequently when working a lot with multitrack.
Thanks

It would be really helpful to have a method to create a marker at all places where the peak level goes above a certain threshold. In Audacity this is called "Label Sounds". I've attached a screenshot, but basically you tell it the level above which you want a label, then it runs through your file and creates a marker everywhere there's a peak above that.

Where this comes in really hand for me is when I'm doing final mastering and getting ready for normalization or a limiter, I like to use a clipper on transients. so that the limiter doesn't have to work as hard and so that my normalization isn't stunted by a couple of big transients. Right now I'm having to scroll through the whole file to look for them, which can take quite a while in a 60 minute file.

I've attached a screenshot of what this looks like in Audacity. Thanks for considering this!

Edit:

Thinking more about this, another way to go about this would be to have a feature for "jump to next peak of xx db". Then I could normalize the set to -.1 db and just keep jumping to the next item that hit that .1db limit to decide if I want to cut it or not. This might actually be even better and hopefully easier to code.

Thanks!

Overall, really loving SoundOp. But one thing I ran into is that quite a few actions aren't covered by undo. The biggest one I've run into so far is changes to the current selection. Frequently I'll spend a bit of time finding a selection, getting it exactly to line up the way I want. I'm getting ready to do something with it, and oops! I mis-click and the Selection is gone. I was expecting to be able to just ctrl-z and get it back... but doesn't seem to work with selections. Can that be added? Thanks!

Just one of these things that would make day to day usage so much nicer.

Thanks!

I have a clip in the audio editor and I want to align the beats to the editor so I can count forward and back by beats. I have the ruler set to Beats. I'm able to use the selection grid (which is really cool!) to drag out four beats. I've also seen how I can use the left mouse down to increase and decrease the Tempo which does slide the ruler.... but I still can't align it so I can't get the correct temp either. I've uploaded a picture to show how far I got so far (#1 and #2)

The workflow I was hoping for was:

1) Drag out a selection grid of exactly 1 bar.
2) Slide the ruler to move the ruler's first bar of a measure to the beginning of my selection. (705.1 in this example).
3) Anchor the ruler so that it won't move when I drag the tempo indicator.
4) Drag the tempo up and down until the 4 beats (705.1->706.1) align with my selection.

At this point, as long as the song is consistent I should be able to easily identify the beats.

is this possible? I've tried various combinations but not been able to do this.

Thanks!

By the way, loving the software so much! I just purchased the Perpetual License.

I'm having trouble getting a small section of a clip to loop. I know I've done this before, I thought it was just selecting part of the track and making sure the "Loop Mode" button was selected. But now, nothing I do seems to allow me to listen to a selection in a loop.

What am I missing?

Thanks!

I am really happy that clip gain increase+decress has been added,
but it is very necessary to add clip gain along with it,
the feature of documentary voice over editing, debreath control is very important so that custom clip gain can be set once,I am sharing a video of Adobe Audition to understand the matter,,, hopefully it will be added in the new update
